Packaging & Delivery
It is of utmost importance while buying large furniture items to make sure they will fit through the property entrance and into the intended space in your room. Make sure there is enough height, width, and diagonal depth to fit your furniture from the entry and that there's plenty of room to turn around corners and through doors.
HOW TO GET A PROBLEM FREE DELIVERY?
Before you place an order, carefully check whether the product will fit into the intended space in your home or not. Any potential delivery difficulties or obstacles should be taken into account. It is important to ensure the product can fit through all the entryways, elevators, and stairways of your home. To ensure efficient delivery and avoid returns, follow these simple steps. Charges will apply for redelivery caused by a failed delivery attempt.
Things to consider before ordering your furniture
- Best pathway from outside to inside of your residence where the new item will be placed.
- All access points are unobstructed and with enough width to move the ordered item easily.
- The heights and widths of all entryways, including all stairways and hallways, are part of the best path you have finalized.
- The interior widths, depths, and heights of all elevator doors.
- Measure your entry clearance which is the distance from the wall through the doorway to the opposite wall.
- All corners, ceiling height, stairways (heights, widths, angles, railings), low-hanging fixtures, and other architectural details.
- The product's minimum clearance must not exceed the height or width of any of the entryways (elevators and stairways included) to be used for delivery.
- In the case of larger products like sofas, check for enough space to turn the furniture.
- All wall lights, low hanging lights, framed prints on walls, low ceilings, and beams.
IMPORTANT: This is only a guide and does not guarantee that your furniture purchase will fit. Also, our delivery personnel cannot remove doors and windows to allow access or even open the crates. If doors, windows, or stair railings need to be removed for the furniture to fit, you will need to arrange this on your own.
*Note that our furniture measurements reflect overall dimensions and may vary slightly.*
MEASURE THE SPACE WHERE THE FURNITURE WILL BE PLACED
Check that the furniture will fit the space in the room where it will sit. The dimensions of each piece of furniture can be found on the product pages on our website. In case of any additional dimensions requirements, contact our Customer care or email us at care@sabafurniture.in.
The amount of floor space a piece of furniture will take up can be easily checked by marking the area on the floor where the furniture is to be placed with the help of masking tape or a newspaper template. Make sure there is enough space in the room for the armchair, sofa, etc., to be fully extended.
KNOW OUR PACKAGING
We love our products and handle them carefully in our factory; thus, we secure these products with multilayer packaging involving
Plastic wraps, Bubble sheets, Foam sheets, and Foam Corners are all packed in Heavy gauge Corrugated boxes, considering the unpredictable
and multiple handling at times may damage these goods.
One important tip is to open the products downstairs and then take the open products up in parts in case the packages are too large
to pass through your staircase or entryway so that they can be easily assembled in the room where the product will be placed.
OPENING THE PACKAGING
Once you receive the goods, please note that the delivery person is not authorized or allowed by our logistics partner to wait while you are opening the goods. However, in case you see any extreme visible damage to the external packaging (carton, crate, etc.), you should show the same to the delivery personnel and open the goods yourself or with the help of a local carpenter (if there is a wooden crate) and inspect the same. Any damage to the product/ packaging should be shown to the delivery personnel. We also advise you to take pictures of the damaged product or external packaging and send a mail to care@sabafurniture.in with the Order details for us to take the case up with our logistics partner. The note of the damage should also be made on the Proof of Delivery Slip.
Please note that we ship our products to more than 5,000 locations in India, so we can't arrange personnel to open these packages.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the Delivery Personnel are not obliged or authorized to open/ assemble the furniture or packages. Please note that their duty is to deliver the goods to the customer, and they are not directly employed with Saba Furniture and work with the Third third-party logistics companies. You are requested to cooperate with them and not force them to open the crates, packages, etc.
IMPORTANT: Measurement of furniture/ packages is the customer's responsibility, and we encourage you to study the sizes mentioned on the product page carefully and see if the furniture you order fits into your entryway and rooms before ordering the products. We will not be responsible if the furniture does not fit/ pass through the entryway/ stairway, etc. Please note that any failed delivery due to any such refusal or unavailability and any subsequent attempts to deliver the goods will be charged extra by Saba Furniture or the Logistics partner.
ASSEMBLY OF FURNITURE
Most of our furniture will not require any assembly or may require very minimal Do IT Yourself (DIY) assembly, like screwing the round legs to the base of the sofa or attaching the legs of the coffee tables. Sometimes, the legs have a plate mechanism where the screws can be fixed with an Allen key (provided in the kit with the instructions). Sometimes, if any nuts/ bolts or Allen key screws are used, they are provided with the required spanner or Allen key to help you with the installation. Detailed assembly instructions, if needed, are inserted in the package, and the goods can easily be assembled by yourself, or you may arrange a carpenter on your own to assemble the furniture for you.
INFORMATION ABOUT HIGHER FLOORS
The delivery person will deliver the large goods to your building premises or wherever it is physically possible to deliver the goods for them. For higher floors, they may not be equipped to deliver the goods to your doorstep. You are requested to arrange for your own laborers/ manpower in advance or post delivery to get the big products to the higher floor. The responsibility of our logistics partners to deliver the large products is restricted to the ground floor or, at maximum, the first floor of the building. We do not have the resources and personnel to deliver the large furniture to your floor. We will need your cooperation to arrange for your own personnel/laborers to carry the furniture to the floor of your residence.
